TL;DR:


Happy Monday! Some possible snow showers today totaling 3-5 inches, cloudy all day with winds staying below 20mph, with gusts up to 40 mph today.

Nowcast:

We received some snow last night, with Brighton claiming 11" and Alta 8". Temperatures currently in LCC are around 18 degrees at the base, BCC being in the low 20s, and the mountain tops being around 8 degrees. It is staying pretty cloudy all day today, with winds higher this morning and dropping in the afternoon coming from the SSW.

Short term:

Through today there are some scattered snow showers, 3-5 inches are possible. Winds staying pretty constant coming from the SSW. Averaging speeds in the high teens this morning, with a dip in the afternoon, then picking up again tonight. Wind gusts do not go above 40 mph today. This trough progresses southward and will deliver more precipitation into southern Utah.

Long term:

From Tuesday through the end of this week we will not encounter much precipitation, with some cooler temperatures. This weekend we could be seeing another storm setting up coming from the west coast. We may be seeing a cold front coming in, with some significant moisture and snow delivering this weekend.
